This is astronomically awesome. It feels right at home in Gmail; almost as if it was built in there by Google. I foresee myself using RTM much more often now.
Beautiful Soup documentation | Entity Conversion →
This had been bothering me on Pop Secrets for a while. If a feed contains HTML entities then they will be shown to the user instead of being converted. By first converting all HTML entities to unicode and then letting Django convert it back to HTML entities I am ensuring that everything looks correct. This may seem redundant but it is the safest method I could come up with. BeautifulSoup is my...
Django | Django’s cache framework | Django... →
Not sure how new this is (I just discovered it) but Django now has a very easy way to cache template blocks. You can, straight from the template, cache blocks and define a timeout. It even lets you pass as many keys as you’d like (for example: cache a block for a specific user). Amazing!

Done importing
I’m done importing everything from my blog, Twitter, and Google Reader here. I thought it would work out well but I think it dilutes things too much. Sometimes I’ll ask my coworkers how to do something in...

Giving up on Zelda →
I started playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess a few weeks ago. I used to love that kind of game; solving puzzles and making your way through huge dungeons used to be fun. I had absolutely no fun this time around. I continued to play it simply because I had already started and wanted to see it through.
Some people say they play games for the challenge and others to “see what comes...
